Great server and authentic food, but not perfect. We came here to use a Groupon for four filets mignons, but came with 7 people, so three of us ordered from the menu. I wanted some barbecue, so I got a three-meat platter with hot links (great), chopped brisket (little greasy), and bologna (great). All 4 of the steaks that were ordered at our table seemed to be cooked about one step past where they were ordered, so keep that in mind. The server was very good, very attentive, so certainly can't complain there. I lived in BA for several years after this place was built, but never went there. Now I finally have. May not be the best in town, but it was worth it for the trip.

I mean it wasn't spic n span but it's BBQ! My food tasted great across the board and the family's feeling the same way. Got pulled pork brisket okra cole slaw. It's our first choice BBQ

Had the 2 person spud Groupon today. Kelly was our server. Spud was semi warm, Cobbler was cold. Asked for a to go drink. Kelly told us they were out of to go cups. When we were leaving I asked the host if I could have a to go drink and she gladly went and got me one. Smooth move Kelly, I don't like cold food or liars. Won't be returning.

Good service, food was ok, just not memorable. The salmon was cooked well, but the chopped beef sandwich was bland, and the meat tasted watered down. The spicy sauce was not particularly spicy. The dinner salad was mostly iceberg lettuce. The tabouli had no parsley in it, which is a typical tabouli ingredient. The food was reminiscent of a cheap chain restaurant. Another unremarkable meal.

The Committee could not agree- Mountain Lodge style? Dining Room at Summer Camp style? Hollywood Hero style? Is that supposed to be Indy Jones and an Orang? Over-priced, mediocre food....bizarre atmospherics.

Stone Mill Barbeque and Steakhouse is located near 61st and Aspen in Broken Arrow. The restaurant is fairly new and decorated like a mountain cabin. The inside has some of the craziest decor I have ever seen in a restaurant. In fact I'm not sure if I was in a museum, on the set of a elementary school play, or at a zoo. The decor is overwhelming having way too much random crap through the restaurant. While it looks like somebody put a ton of money into making the inside with all the stained woods, American West antiques, and the ridiculous amount of fake and taxidermy animals, they person who designed this past the point of no return. There is just way too much stuff on the walls in here and the fake ape and lion on the rope and wood bridge over head really just bothered me. At least keep it with stuff that looks some what real and not stuffed animals. I had visited Stone Mill Barbeque before and was looking forward to trying some Ribs on this visit. Last visit I had a ribeye steak, and while it was pretty good, it was also pretty forgettable. There wasn't much flavor and I have had better cuts of beef from Outback Steakhouse. Pork Ribs- When they first arrived to the table, they looked delicious. But the lack of meat on the ribs leads me to believe that this wasn't high quality meat. The flavor wasn't anything spectacular, there wasn't much smoke flavor. The sauce didn't have much bite to it and wasn't very sweet either, so it was kinda bland. Average ribs The Mashed Potatoes and Gravy were fantastic. My girlfriend had the sirloin, and while it looked great, there was too much grizzle throughout the steak. Stone Mill is worth a visit, maybe you will find something better on the menu that I have. I may try once more, but after that I'm done.

It's amazing how different people's experiences can be. I thought the inside was a little much decor-wise, but everything was very clean. There are a couple of TVs in the main dining room. The decor is very "pioneer" - lots of fake plants, deer heads, a stuffed mountain lion, that kind of thing. I'm not really a big fan of that kind of scheme but the animals were hung pretty high up, so it's not like I had to stare a dead deer in the face or anything. And like I said, everything was very clean - no dust on the decoration and the floors were spotless. As others have mentioned, we started off with a couple of free rolls and honey butter. The rolls were just okay. Nothing special, but warm and fresh. The honey butter was delicious. I ordered a three meat platter with pulled pork, pork ribs, and sliced briscuit, with baked beans and cole slaw for the sides. The briscuit was just okay. It was a tad dry and flavorless, but was great with the BBQ sauce. I thought the pulled pork was fantastic - I definitely saw a smoke ring and the texture was great. The pork ribs were amazing. Both of the sides were really good. The beans were a little sweet for my taste but still had a great flavor. The cole slaw was fresh and creamy. My fiance had something called - the wagon wheel, maybe? It was a house special with various types of meat on an open faced hoagie with a large serving of fries. He wasn't impressed with the quantity of meat but said everything tasted good. I stole a couple of fries and they were super yummy. Service was very good. The server (Amanda) answered my questions and made sure our drinks were never empty (or even low). She didn't hover and ask, "Is everything okay?" a dozen times, which I prefer. I hate it when I can't just concentrate on my meal and conversation because the server won't leave me alone. So I'd give her an A+!

The meat here is great. Just nothing else. The service sucked and the quality of food for the price is outrageous! Took over an hour to get 2 brisket sandwiches and a baked potato, which cost closed to $40. If they stuck to just the meat it would be fine. Also the bbq sauce is Head Country. Seriously? Make ur own sauce.

Stopped for the night in Broken Arrow while road-tripping between Chicago and San Diego. Our motel concierge recommended the place, and it definitely beats the garish McDonald's signs. The place was nearly empty and we were seated right away. Our server seemed extremely disinterested but whatevs. Everything was prompt and she didn't screw up our order. Sister and I both had loaded baked potatoes piled with beef brisket, which was an unexpected surprise. It was yummy. I ordered the appetizer portion of chicken strips, which were just meh. Very, very dry. Dad had some 4-meat-a-palooza entree. The Wagon Wheel maybe? He seemed to like it. Fries were good and didn't need salt. Don't know as though this is the type of place I'd waste my money ordering steak. Weirdly enough, this place appeared to have a drive-thru.

Sub par food. It's pricey and has a drive through. The stone mill potatoes are good. I haven't tried the steak yet.

I found it interesting that we had a wait as the restaurant did not seem that busy. I realized that they were staggering tables in order to not overwhelm their servers. After being sat our server was prompt and friendly. Looking around, the place was a frantic mess. Servers were unhappily in a rush with a look of annoyance on their faces. The place was not busy enough to warrant the frenetic pace. It would seem that some serious retraining would benefit this restaurant greatly. The food came out promptly, perhaps a little too quickly as we had yet to finish our salads, but I can deal with that. My wife's ribs were nice and tender yet maintained a nice "bite" to them. Too many times we've had ribs that fall off the bone, indicating that they were not properly prepared(boiled or baked). My daughter ordered bologna which was quite tasty. I chose a two meat combo of turkey and hot link. I love strongly flavored smoky meats. The turkey did not have a particularly strong smoke, but was still flavorful. The hot links were spicier than I expected, which is a good thing. If Stone Mill could fix the front of the house, they would be much better off.

My partner and I came here with a Groupon for two loaded baked potatoes, drinks, and cobblers. We ordered half pork/half beef loaded potatoes. Mine wasn't very hot (though my partner's was) and there was very little sour cream, but the overall taste was OK. Nothing special, but certainly not bad. We had cherry cobblers for dessert. The cobbler portions were small. The cobbler I received consisted primarily of crust with very little cherry filling. My partner's was the opposite. The service was good, but the food wasn't worth it even with a Groupon.

This place is a jewel for BBQ in the Tulsa / Broken Arrow metro. My wife and I grew up in Tulsa and come back to eat here every time we come to visit family. Meats: I could tell you the ribs are so good they don't need BBQ sauce. I could tell you the pulled pork is to die for. I could go on about the sliced turkey and brisket..... but I wont.... just go have a plate of BBQ here. Sides: There is one side you must always get; Stone Mill Potatoes..... they are epic. In addition to those they have the normal sides all would expect and live at a BBQ restaurant: okra, green beans, baked beans, etc.....

While the grind on the polish was too fine the brisket was tender and the pulled pork was excellent as well. I enjoyed the baked beans with each bite of meat and had to order a second bowl to make it come out even. The house special chocolate cake warmed with ice cream is a must save room for desert.

4 star restaurant with 2 star execution. This review is based on the BBQ only since we did not try anything else on the menu. First off the place looks really nice from the outside and then you walk in and it's like Daniel Boone Vomited up all the décor. Anyway, the service was good, are waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the product she was selling. Warm bread and honey butter immediately to the table, you've got to love that stuff. Caesar Salad in a BBQ joint, not so much, but it was good they make their own croutons which again were very good. Now to the Q, the Brisket was good but way over cooked and all the bark had been cut off. I'll never understand that, most cooks work so hard to get a perfect bark and some joints just cut it off and toss it out. The brisket would have been good if it was in a sandwich covered in "Head Country BBQ Sauce," which apparently is the house secret sauce. The Pulled Pork was again very good but the execution was not there. The pork was over cooked to the point of that, mushy crock pot style pork Nanna used to make. I call this Faux Q no real smoke or smoke ring just cooked meat covered in BBQ sauce, which reminds me I actually never saw a smoker and trust me I looked. I'm pretty sure they've probably got one. The Pork had obviously been setting in some type of warmer container with all the fat and glaze so you have fat running all over the plate. In moderation this is not bad this was too much. Baby Back Ribs, very good they were probably the best thing we ate that night. Good color, light glaze tender fall off the bone ribs, just like everyone enjoys so much. Hickory wood was light and not overpowering good spot to get ribs. However, they are very proud of them the price was high for the overall quality. I don't know that I will have any reason to go back. There are too many other better BBQ joints within a couple of miles to waste time with just OK Que.

The meat was good. Service could be better. Baked potato was warm, the butter never melted.

Ate here for lunch the other day. One of my rules of thumb is that if a restaurant has spent a significant amount of money on a theme and decor the food will typically suffer. Stone Mill BBQ falls into that rule. The decor is very nice and seems pretty pricey but the food and service itself is nothing special. Had the pork loin sandwich with the potato salad. I found the pork loin rather dry and the potato salad was nothing to brag about either. Some others at my table had sliced beef and said the same. Service was spotty, server was nice enough but for a place that wasn't near filled up she could have been more attentive to drinks and condiments. Not a bad place if you like rustic decor but not really a good value for the money.

i've eaten here maybe over thirty times. the meat is wonderful and the theme is exciting. the service and the owners are not quite up to par. i would rather eat at a competitors even though the food might be a little less quality, i would want my server to at least bring me a refill as most times i am never offered! it is close to my house and i enjoy two servers there. when they don't work, i won't even stop in, because i know the service will be awful.

I think Stone Mill BBQ is as good as it gets. I've been there many times and never had a bad meal. The BBQ and steaks are excellent. The Stone Mill potatoes are excellent. The "sit-down" atmosphere is excellent as is the service to the table. What more can you ask for?

We love Tulsa! For many reasons, but its amazing choice of BBQ joints is one of them. Tulsa has a tremendous selection of amazing BBQ, from fast food to gourmet and literally everywhere in between. This was our second time at Stone Mill BBQ. I could not recall the first time, but our party of six insisted that we had been here before. I guess my lack of memory is testimony to this unremarkable BBQ joint. Wow, where to begin... My wife and I ordered the two meat combo, pulled pork and sliced brisket. For some odd reason both were sopping wet with water. Both pooled in their own water. Now, juicy is one thing but the meat was wet, literally wet. Secondly, they were flavorless. With all the amazing BBQ in town, its amazing to me that this place survives. Many of the Yelp reviews of Stone Mill BBQ note the atmosphere and the decor of this place. While easy to describe, it is rather difficult to explain. Think Rain Forest cafe but poorly done and dusty. There is just about everything hanging from the ceiling and clinging from the walls, life-size pirates, an orangoutang, fish, more monkeys, ship memorabilia and everything in between. Some of the items were clearly made professionally while other items can be purchased at Walmart in the stuffed animal department. Why this place is called "Stone Mill" yet the decor is "low-budget movie meets pirate island" is a mystery. A big disconnect but perhaps I am missing something. While others (kids mainly I presume) probably look around in awe (the good kind), I am in awe (the bad kind) at the energy placed into the odd surroundings and the huge miss on the food.

Food tasted great, service excellent! Peach and cherry cobblers. We ordered loaded baked potatoes with pulled pork and brisket! Rolls were delicious! Yum! 1st time here, used Groupon. Meals for 4. Nice environment, warm greeting, enjoyed our Sunday lunch after church. We will be back :)

Ordered the Ribeye and wish I tried some BBQ instead. Not a very good steak. Service was pretty poor, that small town simple feel.
